Glenn,
thank you for your all-on-one Arachne boot disk. It was extremely
helpful for me, as I am currently trying to put an interactive
HTML tutorial to a disk/CD that I would like to be readable on any
PC. You as well as Clarence have convinced me that DR-DOS Boot
disk will be legally and technically a better solution than
MS-DOS 7.1.
Now, my key problem is the size of the RAM disk, as the installation
is expected to work with different XMS size from 4MB to 32MB. I
understand that you gave the RAM disk a constant size of a bit less
than 8MB.
Is there a way (utility) to find out the maximum size of the RAM
disk on a system after booting to it? What will be the optimum size
of the RAM in relation to CACHE size and performance.
