It has been my understanding that the abuse reporting addresses
are to be used for reporting spam only. This isn't a spam
message. It is just a virus sent out by an infected computer
whose owner doesn't even know his computer is doing it. Spam
messages are bulk unsolicited emails, sent intentionally, and
usually sent out for the purpose of advertising some product or
service, or promoting a chain letter, or announcing business
and employment opportunities, or disseminating some kind of
propaganda. Also almost all spam messages have faked headers
used for the purpose of disguising and cloaking the spammer's
email address. I usually report messages like the one
Thomas received to the tech support departments and to the
postmaster of the ISP from which the message originated.

Do you think I am wrong in thinking that only spam should be
reported to the abuse departments?
