Bombing alone accomplishes very little. Innocent people always die
when bombs are dropped. Sometimes in great numbers.
I do not think that will be the American response. But the United
States is now committed to taking sustained and persistent action
against terrorism. This has not beem true in the past. It was always
hoped that somehow the problem could be finessed without direct
action.
