I have found the same phenomenon. Only the absolute numbers vary
from Glenn's experience (perhaps because my email address is rather more
widespread and exposed than his).

Me too !
Using spamcop, my email traffic actually increased by the number of
emails from ISPs telling me that they were an automated complaint robot,
and where to send spam complaints.
Spam is a fact of life if you have a widely advertised email address.
I have learned to live with spam and worms and virii and unsolicited
"newsletters", even offers of millions of dollars from Nigerian
con-artists.

I have acquired the experience and skill to do both at the same time.
I "delforeteget" them. :)
Michael's "right-click+Del" hotkey in Arachne make this a quick and
painless operation that I go through everytime I download email.
