The "stoker" riding position on a tandem bicycle springs to mind.
That's a way to get a good cardio-vascular workout safely, as long
as Mel isn't on the road <G>.

A blind American blues harmonica player (Sonny Terry?) said he rode
a motorcycle regularly in his youth. I think he followed a friend on
another machine.

A couple of times I've walked-&-talked with stick-using blind guys
and found it difficult to keep up. At a station, telling a blind guy 
of the latest arrivals appearing on the board, I was politely told
my help wasn't required.
