Hey Folks!
Before you go and trounce on Mithgol for his use of what some have referred to as a
"non-existant" identifier in HTML, I invite you to visit the W3C's HTML, XML and CSS
"Validator" page! Next, try running the URL of your home page through it, especially
if you have a reference to an image or such with the "ALIGN=Center" or similar...I've
done it in past and just recently...W3Cs Validator will tell you that "ALIGN=Center"
is not proper format for an object, to conform to HTML standards you should use
"Align=Middle" or "top" or "bottom" or "left" or "right".
Now, I've been authoring my own web pages for a number of years, and I've used
"Align=Center" inside identifier tags for images, tables and forms for quite awhile.
I think the new version 4 HTML standards have pre-empted the older tags, and now
prefer "middle" and so on. Your web pages that contain some such tags WILL NOT BE W3C
HTML 3.2 compliant!
Not taking any sides, just wanted to enlighten some of you folks that don't get
outside too often!
Hehe,
C U L8R!
Wiz <{:-)
