> However, anyone who has 800 messages in the INbox is not a user! That person is an abuser, far worse than I who have more sorting folders than can be seen on two screens -- far worse than I who have close to 300 messeages in the SENT area waiting to be culled and/or moved. Do you mean 800 messages on the ISP's server or 800 messages on one's own computer? Messages can add up if one is away on business trip or vacation, computer trouble or hospital stay. I also heard, through FreeBSD Web site, that those FreeBSD emailing lists can produce hundreds of messages daily. I was scared away! I remember accumulating slightly > 2000 files when I was using Ultimail Lite in OS/2 Warp 4, with two or sometimes three files for each message. Deleting messages was slow and cumbersome.
