Dear Wiz:

Thanks for the post. I agree that Arachne could use some improvement
but I don't have more time to work on her right now. I use Arachne
for all my main Internet needs at home, but I don't have a workable
Linux. I can mount BasicLinux, but don't understand Wordstar function
keys, Pico, or how to make it connect to the Internet. So for now, I
must depend on DOS. Webmail providers don't support DOS, unfortunately,
and many people prefer Windoze or Windows for an interface. I upgraded
Linda's computer over at her place to Win 9.x. I have had enough hard
lessons with drive and computer crashes to know what NOT to do because
of XSWAP. Linda will allow later version of Arachne on her home computer,
once it is repaired more, but doesn't rely on it for her primary
browser or e-mailer. Sorry, gang, for now I must view using Arachne
as my personal choice. Other people prefer something else. There will
be enuf work trying to explain in a basic way it's existance on my
computer {plus maybe some people who don't like it anyway, because they
are fans of M$soft...} Arachne for Linux or Netscape is still a long
way off for me, apparently.

Yours,

Thomas/"tomstfor"
