This is usually a RAM problem (too little, too much or
faulty).  How much RAM do you have on that system?  
How much RAM does DOS see on that system?

Probably not.  I've just booted DR-DOS 7.02 from floppy
and successfully booted BasicLinux.  I suggest you
boot DR-DOS with F5 or F8 (or whatever it uses) to 
avoid anything funny that might effect memory.
