Andy,

I just bought a motherboard at a yard sale and went to the Kingston memory
configurator site to see what memory it took. Kingston could not find the
motherboard in their database.

I then went to Google and typed in information that is printed on the
motherboard, "Super P5MMA" and it came up with a bunch of sites. The first
site was the manufacturer's site, Supermicro, which gave me the motherboard's
specifications including what memory chips and cpu's can be used with the MB.

The Supermicro site also had users manuals and bios manuals in .pdf.

Another site that was listed on Google was Ed's --- something or other ---
technical site which gave jumper settings for the MB.

I recently bought memory for two of my computers, one required 72 pin Fast
Page Mode parity SIMMs and the other used 72 pin EDO SIMMs. I paid ~ $29.00
each for the 16MB FPM SIMMS and $20.00 each for 16MB EDO SIMMs from Dalco
(www.dalco.com). The last I checked with the Dalco site, the 16 MB SIMMs
were down to $10.00 each.

Before you buy memory, make sure what type of memory the MB uses. The
wrong memory won't fit, no matter what you do to it. It is possible that
your 386 may even use 30 pin memory chips.
