Claus, My first guess is you have a problem with your dialup script in Arachne TCP/IP setup. Double check what you are telling Arachne to look for and reply with to your ISPs querys. Some will ask for "username", others ask for "Login", and more often than not these will be case sensitive. We really need more info to be specific though. If you are connecting with Lynx and Bobcat, you could also set Arachne up to use "resident packet driver" in TCP/IP setup, then connect with Lynx dialer, shell from Lynx, start Arachne. But, you still have the stub of Lynx in memory. Another way would be to set Arachne up to use "external dialer", then just copy the settings from your Lynx dialer into Arachne directory, you could even copy the dialer itself (probably either Chat or NetDial, Netdial I've used very successfully!) For more detailed help, please send a copy of your ARACHNE.CFG file...with your password blanked out somehow, and I'm sure we can get you up and running!
Good Luck! Wiz. PS...your mouse problems sound like driver bugs, so you might want to try a different driver.
