Thanks, Roger. This was very helpful. The download I got for
LHA255B.EXE from that site consisted of both an English version
and a Japanese version of LHARC, also known as LHA. The
documentation files were in Japanese. The LHA255B.TXT file
purported to be an English translation of the manual turned out
to be a copy of a newsgroup post in "comp.compression" dated
16 April 1993 by Masaoki Kobayashi of Tokyo. He says it is his
English translation of the program author's "READ.ME" file and he
claims to have no relationship with the program's author, Haruyasu
Yoshizaki. Although I found his translation helpful, it was just
the translation of a short READ.ME file, not a translation of the
comprehensive manual. The READ.ME file, as translated, provides
mainly version history and syntax changes and additions since
previous versions.
