The company, NCII Holdings, Inc. of Boca Raton, Florida did not
confiscate any flags from employees. They simply ordered the
employees not to display the little flags on their desktops.
As a result of public pressure and employee protests the company
eventually realized that they had made a very bad decision. Not
only did management rescind their original decision, but they even
started handing out some little USA flags for free to every
employee who asked for one. I don't know if the employees there
have a labor union, but if they did, the outcome of this incident
would have them singing "Solidarity Forever" for a very long time.

For the benefit of those who do not know very much about labor
unions in the USA, the song "Solidarity Forever" is their anthem.
It is sung to the tune of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Labor
unions in Spanish speaking countries have also adopted the same
song as translated into their language. I don't know if labor
unions in non-English and non-Spanish speaking countries have also
adopted the same song and translated it into their own languages.

All the best,

Sam Heywood
