I can confirm that the same problem exists for version 1.70. In
using earlier versions I never received any messages having hundreds
of recipients listed in the "To:" field. In using 1.70 I have
received a couple of such messages. In both cases the sender was
an internet newbie falling for a virus hoax warning which urged him
to forward the message to everybody on his mailing list

In my experience I have found that the best way to deal with the
problem is to use an ascii text viewer to find the offending message
among the raw CNM files. Once you have found the message you can
use your text editor to delete all but a few of the hundreds of lines
of addressees in the "To" field. After you have done that, Insight
will render and display the message just fine, but of course without
the listing of the hundreds of recipients. Neither of the two
messages blocked my mail download. If a message is blocking a mail
download you can delete from the queue by using the Telnet client
offered as an Arachne plug-in.
