Greetings all- The last digest really had a lot of good info in it regarding tips for Linux. Thanks for all the help Steve. I am subscribed to a couple of other lists and this is the only one that I enjoy reading and its the only one that I really learn from. You guys are like a bunch of old friends and I am glad to know ya.
I think it was in the site about Linux and old pc's (one of yours Steve) and I think it talks about small browsers. In it, it mentions Netscape and Arachne. I think it would be neat to have Arachne up and running with BasicLinux. I really enjoy using Links, (in dos I also liked Nettamer as well as good ole Arachne). I still have not got Arachne running on my RH7.2, so I am guessing that it would not be easy to have it installed on BasicLinux. I have never written a program for dos or linux. I have tried some examples that I have found in books or online and think it is neat to see them work....again they were really, really simple ones. Where can I find info about writing something? What I would like to do is inventory the things on my boat. Cheers to all on this beautiful sunny Sunday here in SE Virginia...
