You CAN "restore" a backup to ANY DIRECTORY you wish! You simply must
check the option when you go to RESTORE the backup to "restore to new
directory/folder"...the problem will be in the version of BACKUP and
RESTORE being used. You must use the SAME VERSION OF RESTORE AS YOU
USED BACKUP to create the backup files. This applies to the versions
of backup and restore in MS DOS 6.22 and later, as well as MS Windows
3.1 and up. To "restore" to another directory, or even a different
drive, you just choose that option in a drop down menu.
