Evidently it's needed to play an animated version of "Spank the Monkey". I can't wait to buy a new computer so I can join in the fun! Woo, hoo! Seriously, though, according to the ad I'm looking at right now, I can get a brand new computer--900 MHz AMD, 128 megs of RAM, 20 gig hard drive, etc--for under $500 in Detroit. I guess we can't blame people for having some multimedia fun with something like that. But it sure bugs the crap out of me when some fool of a webmaster hides an address or phone number with JS. Just as it bugs me no end to click on a link to read a short article and discover that in order to read maybe three paragraphs of text I have to wade through a complicated and confusing site with all sorts of bells and whistles.
