There's no reason to abandon programs you love. Just keep on using them! If I could get what I want in DOS, I'd just keep using DOS. But look five years down the road when 500 MHz systems with 40 gig hardrive and 128 megs of RAM are throwaway items. Doesn't that change the picture? Evolving hardware will lead to evolving Web standards that today's software won't be able to cope with. Things are going to change. Some people will still use DOS. My brother subscribes to magazine the extll the virtues of vacuum tube sound equipment and vinyl recordings. Its a little niche group of diehard enthusiasts.
