To Neil T. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: Did you ever get that backup-and-restore problem solved, using Win98 BACKUP and WinME RESTORE? If not, could you boot a Win98 CD or emergency boot diskette and use Win98 RESTORE to restore the desired files? I don't think WinME introduced any file systems new to Win98, so Win98 should have no trouble reading a WinME partition, which would be either FAT16 or more likely FAT32.
