Hi List Yes, I tried DEBUG en typed in "hello world" but no luck.
The only results were some error messages... ;-( DEBUG.EXE (you can find it in command.com) is not that easy to use. There are 24 commands and you have to state a location (address in memory) or a file name. This is the first problem: what location (starting address in memory)? Is this address free or will changes make your system crash? A new file can not be opened... "a" command assembles mnemonics... but you have to know the instruction set. So please give some more instructions on how to type in those 23 hex values. Tried Norton Commander edittor... no luck BA (186) is OK but 09 or 01 is not. Tried PCTOOLS... no luck Made a small BASIC (QB) program... this did the trick. But 2 bytes more now (carriage return & line feed). Both hello.com and hoi.exe will display "hello world".
