The ELSA has originally VESA 1.2 BIOS which doesn't work with Arachne (and other apps, too). The S3VBE20 driver provides VESA 2.0 which seem capable of communication with my EIZO monitor to adjust refresh rates automatically via DDC/2 protocoll. So I guess it's worth a try.
