I use the Ctrl left arrow combo for "back" and ESC just for ESCAPE. Two functions, two actions. Helps keep them seperate. But, just by itself, the ESC key can crash Arachne if you get a twitchy finger. Maybe even if you don't. It's touchy, seems to me.
