I have no idea why this should be so. It's stranger than that. I had an account at "sdf.lonestar.org" a year ago and it worked just fine then with the Arachne telnet APM. No problem whatsoever back a year ago. But about six months ago the Arachne telnet stopped working there. Just like your experience--I could no longer see the login prompts. I had an active connection (you can send a query with telnet, it's on the menu) but I couldn't see the prompts. Don't know why it stopped working at "sdf.lonestar.org". I can get the Arachne telnet client to make connections and login elsewhere, just not at lonestar. I sure would like to know why. But I'm clueless.
