If I login as "new" as they instruct, what do I use > for a password? I just recently created an account. Last night I upgraded it by using PAY PAL to become an arpa member. In less than half an hour after I sent then my PAY PAL transaction they unlocked my account and provided me access to all kinds of new and fabulous features. I am very impressed with the efficiency of the sysops in their being able to act so fast. I didn't even tell them I was in a hurry to have my service upgraded. As I recall, when I logged in as "new" I wasn't prompted for a password. I was directed to an information screen telling me about the site and having a menu selection for signing up for a free account. > Maybe I need to use a regular telnet program to create an account. If you don't have a password yet I think you will need to use a regular Telnet program to create the account, but I don't know for sure. Try SSH first to see what happens. Just put "new" on the command line parameter for username. After creating the account you can logout and then log back in with SSH. You will most easily come across a menu selection for changing your password if that is one of the things you might want to do.
