Hi Thomas:

I use PICTVIEW, version 1.94 for DOS by Jan Patera.  This one is
freeware.  It displays images in many different formats, including
BMP.  Also it can resize an image to any pixel width and height you
want, within reasonable limitations of course.  I don't know if I
have the most current version and I don't know where is the current
download site.  I think this is something you would really want.
Go google for it.
