In using the Telnet > client at "sdf.lonestar.org" I get only the password prompt. Well, I don't even get that far. A year ago when I first had an account at sdf.lonestar.org (which is a free Unix shell account available to the public) I could telnet there with the Arachne telnet APM. About six months later I was no longer able to do so. Actually I could connect, but not login as I got no prompts. That is still the case today.I get no prompts at all when I try to connect there via the Arachne telnet client. I have no problem using the Arachne telnet client elsewhere, such as at "cyberspace.org" or "juge.com". But no prompts anymore at sdf.lonestar.org. However, I had no problem with the Basic Linux telnet client in going to sdf.lonestar.org or in creating an account. Now that I have an account there I can use the SSHDOS.APM to connect and login no problem. It baffles me why the Arachne telnet.APM can't connect with sdf.lonestar.org while it con connect just fine elsewhere. I thought perhaps that a securelogin was required there, but this appears to not be true. Strange behavior!
