Joerg, If I attempted to do that -- depending upon how big "big" is -- I could very well crash my system, or at least loose the download.
why??? using "clip.tmp" You see, on my system I have both TEMP & TMP SET to a directory on the RAMdrive ... and the RAMdrive only holds so much. I say it may crash, because Arachne has always been bad at handling DOS error messages ... it's never been set up to allow things to filter through it from DOS, thus you can "save" a file to a non-existant directory, overwrite an existing file of the same name by accident, etc etc etc. ==== On Thu, 06 Jun 2002 22:58:47 +0100, Joerg Dietze wrote: > Hi folks, > just tested this: > If You want to d/l a big file or complete website from within Arachne > without using the cache try this methode: > Add the following line to mime.cfg: > file/dl.dgi |@wget -r -i clip.tmp > Assign dl.dgi to a hotkey in arachne.cfg. > You need wget.exe, cwsdpmi.exe and a working wattcp.cfg in Arachne dir. > To invoke d/l just right click on the desired url and hit Your hotkey. > Known problems: wget seems to ignore the -P option (directory prefix) > and cuts urls from file clip.tmp at underscores. > Perhaps this is interesting for someone. > Regards Joerg > -- Arachne V1.70, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/ -- Arachne V1.70;rev.3, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/
