Dear list:
I get a few of these viruses a week, but not form any of the sources
mentioned. I think it just depends whose computer is infected and where
their emails in their in/out tray have come from. I tried searching
through Google for some of the purported sources and it is pretty clear
they were not the origin. I doubt that Arachne list was the source of my
viruses.
On a more positive note, I was getting an account at the local
supermarket and invited to fill out my own details form, and to my
surprise was a screen that looked exactly like the external editor that
comes as am APM.
They have a big DOS accountancy package from somewhere which handles
Goods and Services Tax far better than Quickbooks etc.
It talks to the cash registers in real time and everything!

And, we have submitted our dual computer train traffic control program!
The manuals take 150 pages, but the program still fits quite easily in
conventional memory.
The only fly in the ointment is the direct to screen drawing on flat
screens. It can look horrible when you get a pixel aliasing. Apparently
they want flat screens because the desks are not wide enough!

PS This is very exciting about Ghostscript being able to send arachne PS
files direct to a printer. I will have to try it. Thanks Christof.
