I tried "dir beos*.*" and DOS failed to list it.
When I tried "dir beos[ALT + NUM 255]ins.*" DOS still failed to list it.
When I tried "del beos[ALT + NUM 255]ins.*" DOS failed to delete it.
When I did "dir beos????.*", then DOS found it. (I believe I had
tried that before and it didn't work the first time.)
The second time I was able to delete it by "del beos????.*"
So it is still a great mystery to me.

BTW, can you delete it and then undelete it? I can't.
