Yes, Antiword is better than View.exe, and it was the only program that helped me out that time, when some e-mail contained a MS-Word document with an embedded table. Nevertheless I could imagine that CatDoc would be an even better alternative as default plugin: * last version even converts Excel files * it seems to have a better way of detecting the various MS Word file formats incl. code page CatDoc does the same as Antiword, binaries are available for DOS and Linux. The author says that the source code could be easily compiled within DOS. (I did not succeed, but that does not mean anything) Source and binaries can be found here: http://www.ice.ru/~vitus/catdoc Regards Christof Lange _______________________________________________ Christof Lange <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Prokopova 4, 130 00 Praha 3, Czech Republic phone: (+420-2) 22 78 06 73 / 22 78 20 02 http://www.volny.cz/cce.zizkov
