Why would you want to select the external editor as the default? The internal editor is best to use for starting a new message or for beginning a reply to a message because it provides special blocks for completing your headers, indicatig your attachment, if any, and for selecting the type of encoding for the attachment. Also it has a special block for indicating the file to be used as a sig or tagline. When replying to a message the internal editor has the advantage of automagically emplacing the text which you most probably would want to use for your "To:" and your "From:" and your "Subject:" headers. While working within the internal editor you have the option of modifying these headers. I always like to use the internal editor for starting a new message or for replying to a message or for forwarding a message. In the case replys and forwards I simply start the internal editor and then punch the button for the external editor to complete the text. Then I save the text, and next I punch the "SAVE TO OUTBOX" button. For composing new messages I use the internal editor for entering my header information. Then I save the message to the outbox. Next I bring the the message up in the outbox and I select "MODIFY". This will call the internal editor. Then I punch the button for the external editor. I enter my text for the message body and save it and then I punch the "SAVE TO OUTBOX" button. This system is so easy to use. I don't understand why anyone should have any complaints about it. The external editor APM that I have installed is EXTED150.APM, which I mentioned in a recent message. You need to exercise care in how you install it. I also talked about that in my recent message and I presented a brief "how-to". Glenn asked me for my copy of EXTED150.APM and my MAIL.HTM because he wanted to take a look at them. I zipped up those two files and I sent them to him. Sam Heywood -- This mail was written by user of The Arachne Browser - http://arachne.cz/
