you need a packetdriver interface in order to use arachne.
(it is said that there is a shareware program which offers this)
But a silly question ??
Why not use Mozilla or Opera ??
IMHO it is a tremendously better choice.
If the computer is fast enough to run XP, it will run both programs swiftly !
