Hi Sam... scandisk did not detect any problem. But running setup, arachne setup, did. Not that I know now what caused the total lockup, but now I know how to cure it.
I tried another click on the audio playlist => Arachne Load Error and not another lockup. So this is cleared... thanks for the advice.
