Yes, this and a bunch of other things, I'm sure Bastiaan has already posted/mentioned previously, but we are going to have to ask all the questions, anew.....<g g g> Bastiaan, Please forget that you have ever posted anything about thie "My Computer" lockup problem, before. NOW we need to have you post, briefly, the problem again. BUT, you must also give us a brief, but fairly detailed description, of the environment in which Arachne is running when you encounter the bug. For a fact, I do NOT know if you are actually talking about the "My Computer" in Windge-dozze or the "Your Computer" in Arachne. We cannot proceed with "assumptions" ...sorry...now you will need to do the following: 1. State where you are running Arachne - that is, in Win3.1, Win95, Win98, MSDOS 6.22, DRDOS 6.0, DRDOS 7.03, OpenDOS7.01, or whereever. 2. Send me a zipped email-attachment containing your AUTOEXEC.BAT, your CONFIG.SYS, ARACHNE.CFG, MIME.CFG, from the Arachne Installation that you KNOW locks up with the bug. 3. Describe any special problems you had to get connected to your ISP, and any special workarounds you had to do to get successfully connected. It seems to me I dimly remember you were having problems getting connect, way back a long time ago. 4. Describe any special feature/features of your 3 computers that are COMMON to all three computers (that is, they all have internal CD ROM drives, or external modems, or same type of floppy drive, and so forth) 5. Since Glenn has requested similar information, you probably should BCC: to him, also...we will forward to anyone else who might want to get involved. This is a bare start, here....after looking at it, we MAY have some idea about what other directions to go looking in. .....gregy -- This mail was sent by a user of Arachne - The Ultimate Internet Client
