I think it's simpler than that. All those who have the problem with MsDos v7.x say.... S**T !!! All those who don't have the problem with MsDos v7.x say... Yay !!! Working on this assumption. I fired-up W95 which I have installed on FAT16. Everything works fine when running Arachne inside a W95 DosBox. "Your Computer" and "//" locked her up tight as a drum after shutting down W95 and going back into MsDos v7.x "Your Computer" and "//" locked her up tight as a drum when booted directly to MsDos v7.x I then rebooted from a floppy with OpenDos v7.01 and everything is now working fine again. I will now try with MsDos v6.20 BBL ____ No problems. It works perfectly with MsDos v6.2 So.... the problem IS MsDos v7.x and how it accesses drives. :(( Looks like I'll be doing some work on wwwman.exe for a while. (specifically.... drvtypes.cpp) The problem is that most of it inline ASM. And I haven't done any ASM in almost 20 years. :(( -- Glenn http://arachne.cz/ http://www.delorie.com/listserv/mime/ http://www.angelfire.com/id/glenndoom/download.htm http://www.thispagecannotbedisplayed.com/
