I have installed BasicLinux (version 1.7, Slack 3.5) on a 386 with 5 MB RAM. Also, Smalllinux is a minimal (2 uncompressed floppies) elf system (2.0 kernel) that can be installed to hard drive. There may be others that I have not tried. Howard E.
