Not to beat a dead horse, but how about an extremely bare bones program
(dare I say "Viewer") that has COMM.APM with all the communications
add-ons, PRINT.APM with all the printer add-ons, (DATABASE.APM for the DB
add-ons), etc. included in the initial distribution.

That way, dummies like me could start with the very basics and add the
pieces. A project guru (or guru team) could take on the task of managing
those major add-ons, which would help deconflict the various
modifications and provide an avenue for experimentation and testing.

All of the various APMs and additional options could still reside at
www.arachne.cz, so anybody could find anything they wanted. But, to make
it simple, us newbies could just stick with the distribution files and
still have the ability to be fully operational - at the level we desire.
