Well, as a one-time list manager, I managed to contact Michael Polak on
his cell phone this morning to tell him that there is a problem
unsubscribing to this list. He is in Prague, but says he is very busy.
Perhaps now he will look into this.

An alternative: contact your ISP and see if there is a way to dump all
mail from this list into /dev/null. If they are using a Unix sytem of some
sort, this would simply involve editing .procmailrc in your home
directory...in other words, do it yourself by getting some sort of mail
filtering in place.
