Over the weekend, we heard from Gregy:
>
2. Do we have a pretty good idea of where the
problem lies with that "click-on \\ or ALT-F2
crash" is being caused...?? From the posts, it
seems to be in the w9x DOS after a certain
version. Is this correct..?? If it is correct,
then Bastiaan, or someone who has been following
it "intelligently" (not me...I can't reproduce
the problem, so my knowledge is NOT intelligent)
please document which w9xDOS versions work, and
which don't...and email attach that text file
to me....BCC to glennmcc....??
NOTE - we do NOT absolutely have to have the fix
in hand, AT THIS EXACT TIME...when Glenn gets
wwwman hacked, then we can just make the hacked
wwwman available as a "drop-in-replacement".

Gregy,
As best that we can determine, the "//" freeze will occur
with ALL Windows 9X versions AFTER the original, I mean
the very first, Windows 95. This is the only version I have,
or even want, sometimes called Win95A, sometimes OSR1,
if you go to a command prompt and type VER and press ENTER,
it reports "Windows 95. [Version 4.00.950]"
I have sent a few system files to Glennmcc to assist in finding
someway to fix this freeze!
C U L8R!
