Okay, but ... where are the codes written for the hotkeys. I couldn't
find a separate file, so I'm guessing that happens inside CORE.EXE. It
would be nice to be able to reconfigure the hotkeys, but I haven't seen
how. Such an option (for example) would have been a nice 'local' temp fix
for ALT-F2 until that was sorted out. The Viewer (created as per your
instructions) crashes when ALT-D is pressed. Did I miss something?
Also, where is the code that creates the non-changeable toolbars? I can
change everything in TOLLBAR.TB, but I still have the basic toolbars
(ALTICONS.IKN and the like). I'm guessing that they also originate in
CORE. To have a Viewer with no hint of communication capability, I would
need to change at least the Arachne icon (sorry about that, Michael) in
the top right corner. Currently, on a mouse-over, it shows a link to
http://arachne.cz - which makes it kind of difficult to claim "it's just
a viewer, officer".
So far, I'm having a lot of fun trying to create potential applications
for friendly places, but I'm still looking for somebody to build a better
mousetrap (or is that 'spiderweb' ?). Thanks (to everybody) for all the
help so far.

Aha. Pretty nifty. Let me guess - the crashes happen when you try to
launch one of the deleted applications. Maybe we need an IF NOT
APPLICATION, THEN RECOVERY patch to handle crashes.
Where might I find a list of all the switches for CORE? I've seen a few
random references, but not the consolidated list.
Happy Holidays
