same file name

Hi list,
         sometimes it occurs.
I receive an e-mail with an attachment eg. experimt.jpg
The next day an e-mail again... a mistake in experimt.jpg is corrected 
but the same file name was used by the sender.

When I view the image than the second image is exactly like the first.

Now I go to the cache with Norton Commander: there it is, the corrected
image. Why do I still see the first image if the new one is written in
the cache? (The cache was emptied between the two sessions).
