Hello: Can anybody here figure out how to use SCPDOS? SCPDOS is a secure file transfer utility to upload and get files to/from a remote host. It is a secure alternative to using FTP.
The program does not come with any documentation on how to use it. This is all the help you get: -------------- C:\SSH>scpdos SCPDOS v0.91 Usage: scpdos [options] from to Options: from <username@remotehost:remotefile|localfile> to <username@remotehost:remotefile|localfile> -c <3des|blowfish> - cipher type -p <port number> - remote port -P - use non privileged local port -C - enable compression -s - remote password -v - verbose output Default is 3des cipher. --------------- This syntax explanation makes no sense to me. Has anybody been able to figure out how to use it? If so please post an example of the syntax you would use for uploading a hypothetical file on your computer to a hypothetical remote host and also the syntax for retrieving a hypothetical file on the remote host. I have tried to figure this out. I have conducted some experiments with this program by guessing about the syntax. I could not come up with any way to make this program work at all. Please help.
