I have found that some of my software designed for doing NNTP
cannot reach some NNTP servers. I don't know what the problem
is. I have found that *ALL* of my software for NNTP can *ALWAYS*
reach the Free Berlin News Server, "NEWS.CIS.DFN.DE". You can go
to their web site and sign up for an account with them for free.
They carry almost all of the newsgroups that are out there. I have
always found my connection speeds with their server very fast and I
have always found their service very highly reliable.
