"They" is Michael Polak. He is Arachne Labs and he's a great guy
that most of us admire a great deal. He's busy with new projects
and has no time for Arachne anymore. Sad, but true. But he's
going to release Arachne on a GPL basis with the source code so
that anyone can tinker and make improvements.
