I did it once out of RH 5.1 with a 2.0.36 kernel back around '99. It was more of a 20 minute "time to fax" then because, as I recall, 'fax' didn't work "out of the box" in that version, so I had to manually convert the text to G3 TIFF, and use 'efax' directly. Probably if I'd bothered to actually look at 'fax' I might have been able to get it to work, but I often go for whatever way looks quickest to get the job at hand accomplished. Faxing once or twice a year didn't seem to merit digging into 'fax.' > I can add a funny Window$ story though - > We used to use Winfax until Y2K made its Sydney agents suddenly desert > their shop. Sounds like almost a five minute job itself. ;-) If you send as many faxes as I do, DOSFAX is probably the way to go, but if you send maybe 3 or 4 a year, you might want to look at efax. ;-) -- Steve Ackman http://twoloonscoffee.com (Need green beans?) http://twovoyagers.com (glass, linux & other stuff)
