To me, it looks as though the standard "Compose Message" and "Reply to
Message" screens are one and the same. So initially the To:, CC:, and
Subject: fields are blank.

Now when I hit Reply on an incoming message, the From: CC: and Subject
data are read from the incoming message automatically and then entered
into the To: CC: and Subject: fields of the Compose Message screen, also
automatically.

Those data must be held somewhere during the transistion from the
Incomiong mesage to the Compose message screens, probably as variables.

So how hard would it be to load the data into those same variables when
the External Editor button is hit, and reload the fields when returning
from the Ext-Editor?

Okay, let's say you've noted the request and I'll be satisfied with
that for now <G>
