Hello Glenn and the rest of the list: Diverging slightly from the ongoing orgy of suggested small changes to Arachne, I have a question about how the program browses as it stands.
At http://realestate.boston.com/homes/?tab=newengland (i.e., the real estate ad page of the Boston Globe), when one clicks on the single family homes box and changes from "New England" to "Vermont", in both Opera and Netscape, a search is done which produces the listings. Following the same procedure in ARACHNE 1.71UE, there appears to be a search which then produces a result of "nothing found". I am used to the fact that Arachne cannot handle all the bells and whistles that are out there and a "skull-and-crossbones" or "protocol-not-supported" message is disappointing but quite clear. Producing what looks like legitimate negative results (but which are false) is definitely misleading and, I think, a serious fault. Now, is this behavior likely to be a function of the web site or of the way Arachne handles it? Any suggestions for something obvious that I am missing will be greatly appreciated.
