Hi Michal, Glenn McC., et al,
                              Could this be related
to xswap errors? Maybe the bios are intercepting the
error before Arachne can toss out its' xswap error
message. One reason I suggest this is that the only
thing that seems to lock up my machine anymore is
A's xswap bug and I've never been able to predict
what will cause it. The xswap errors occur infrequently
and randomly but they always nibble away at my RAM
and eventually cause a lock-up.
