If I could, I would. But purely as a historical factor. Just like I
would attend the trimillenial of democracy in Greece!

I could suggest that the Australian system of government, being based
upon the British Wesminster system, the USAian Senate system, and the
Swiss system, is possibly _THE_ most democratic system in the world.

My late Uncle was a Minister in the State [South Ausralian] Parliament,
and represented all sides of Parliament [Labour/Liberal and Independant,
elected in each case], my good friend is the current Federal Member in
the Government [Chris Gallus http://www.chrisgallus.com], I know the
current Labor [they dropped the U] local Member, as also stand on a
Local Government Committee [I stood for Local Council twice in Clare,
against the then Mayoress/Lady Mayor and only lost by 17 and 14 votes
respectively [when I was in my 20's, something not done at the time]
