The SDF (Software Development Framework) is a Sun process. The process for OpenSolaris as captured on OpenSolaris.com is based upon the Sun process - the correctness reviews are there while the management steps are missing. I only mentioned the SDF as the "root source" for some of the process decisions. I say "as captured" because there seems to be a lot of turmoil about what the processes are for OpenSolaris. Until somebody with authority (the governing body) gets the documentation changed, I'd assert that what is on the website is indeed the process. However, the "project team" question is probably an easy one. At the low end, the "project team" is the individual contributor who decides to fix a simple bug. At the high end, it could be a large group of contributors - think ZFS or Virtualization. The "project team" may be inside of Sun, outside or (hopefully) a mixture of both. "project team" is just a generic term for "whoever is driving a change to OpenSolaris". Hope this helps, - jek3 (Joseph Kowalski)
